Schonfeld Square Foundation
Schonfeld Square Foundation (SSF) is a registered charity established and regulated by the Charity Commission to improve the lives of Jewish people who are frail, elderly or otherwise vulnerable. Our services are targeted primarily at around 100 older Orthodox Jewish people who live in Schonfeld Square, North London. Most of our beneficiaries live in Fradel Lodge and in Beis Pinchos Home, schemes which are managed by Agudas Israel Housing Association (AIHA), with whom we work closely. Other older people in the community also partake in and benefit from Schonfeld Square Foundation’s work, both by joining our activities and by serving as volunteers. As well as supporting older people, we also work with people with mental health needs, particularly those living in AIHA’s Beis Rochel and Rookwood Road schemes.
The Foundation’s aims are to provide activities, resources and services that are:
- Socially enriching and prevent loneliness
- Good for physical wellbeing and promote good health
- Support older people in their day-to-day lives.
